PROGEMETAL BAND CALIGULA’S HORSE IN FINLAND IN SEPTEMBER
Formed in Brisbane, Australia in 2011, Caligula’s Horse is one of the toughest prog-metal bands of the new generation. Compared to the likes of Opeth, Porcupine Tree and Haken, the band released their sixth studio album Charcoal Grace in January, which combines deep emotional states with a heavy yet melodic soundscape. Described as a masterpiece, the album was born out of the static hopelessness of the pandemic era a few years ago and explores the band’s experiences of that time, ultimately aiming for a catharsis – a more hopeful future.
